Hashed IP address — when you vote on a game list, your IP address is hashed with SHA-256 before being stored. We never store the raw IP. The hash is used only to prevent duplicate votes from the same connection.
Google Analytics 4 — we use GA4 to understand traffic patterns. GA4 sets cookies and processes data under Google's privacy policy. EU visitors may see a consent prompt before analytics activate.
All vote data (hashed IPs and vote records) is deleted after 12 months. Google Analytics data retention is set to 14 months per Google's default; you can opt out at any time via Google's opt-out browser add-on.
You can request deletion of any data associated with your connection at any time. Because IPs are stored as one-way hashes, we cannot identify your specific records without your IP address — if you include it in your request we will delete the corresponding hash immediately.
For deletion requests or any privacy questions, email us at hello@indiesoftheweek.com. We aim to respond within 2 weeks.
